  • 1 cup Wheat Flour
  • 2 tbsp Bombay Rava
  • 1 cup Sugar

Today lets see how to make gulab jamun with wheat flour

Here I used 1 cup wheat flour
Heat 1/2 tablespoon clarified butter (ghee) in pan
Add 1 cup wheat flour, 2 tablespoons bombay rava and mix
Stir and fry till they change colour slightly
Cut off the stove and move it into a bowl
Add 2 tablespoons milk powder to it
This step is optional
Then add a pinch of baking soda, a pinch of cardamom powder, 1/2 tablespoon clarified butter (ghee) and mix
Then add milk slowly and knead it into a chepathi like dough
Knead for 7-8 minute and let it sit for 15- 20 minutes
Lets prepare sugar syrup in the mean time
For 1 cup wheat flour we will need 1 cup sugar
Add 1 cup water to it and mix
Mix and boil till the sugar syrup starts to simmer
Simmer for 5-6 minutes
Now add 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder and cut off the stove
Lets prepare the jamuns now
Make round balls out of the dough we prepared
Make sure that there are no cracks formed on the balls
Heat oil or clarified butter (ghee) for deep fry
Here I used half oil aand half clarified butter (ghee)
Fry the jamuns one by one
Make syre that the oil in on medium heat
Fry till the jamuns turn golden brown
Now add these jamuns to the sugar syrup when it is hot
Let the jamuns sit in the syrup for 2 hours atleast
Gulab Jamuns are ready to serve!
