Ingredients
  • 500 grams Pandem Kodi
  • 2-3 Ginger Pieces
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Shahjeera
  • 2 Onions
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/2 cup Coriander Leaves
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Khas Khas
  • 4 Cashewnuts
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Seeds
  • 2-3 Cinnamon stick
  • 5-6 Cloves
  • 3 Cardamom
  • 7-8 Garlic Cloves

  1. Here I’m using 500 grams of pandem kodi or country chicken

Let’s prepare masala first
  1. To a mixie jar, add 2-3 cinnamon stick pieces, 5-6 cloves, 3 cardamoms, 7-8 garlic cloves, 2-3 ginger pieces, 1 tbsp khas khas, 4 cashew nuts, 2 tbsp coriander seeds, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds and grind it into a paste
  2. Add water and grind it into a soft paste
  3. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker

  4. Then add 2 bay leaves, 1/2 tsp shahjeera, 2 diced onions, and fry
  5. Close lid and fry till onions turn brown
  6. Now add 2 green chilies along with the chicken

  7. Cook the chicken on a medium flame for 10 minutes

  8. Next, add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 2 tsp chili powder, and salt to taste along with the prepared masala

  9. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes
  10. Then add about 1 cup of water

  11. Close the lid and cook for 7-8 whistles

  12. Let the cooker cool down and open the lid
  13. Cook for a few more minutes to get a thick gravy

  14. Sprinkle coriander leaves and cut off the stove

Pandem Kodi Kura or Country Chicken Curry is ready to serve
Serve hot with flavored rice or white rice
