1. Sugar - 1 Cup

2. Clarified Butter (Ghee) - 1/2 Cup

3. Water - 1/2 Cup

4. All-Purpose Flour - 3 Cups (Approx)

5. Soda - A Pinch Powder sugar and melt clarified butter(ghee).

To a mixing bowl, add 1/2 cup water. Milk instead of water could be used. Add powdered sugar. Powdering sugar will make it easy to melt. Mix till sugar melts in water completely. Add melted clarified butter(ghee). Add clarified butter(ghee) only after sugar melts, else the sugar won't melt easily. Keep adding all-purpose flour while mixing. Don't add all the flour at once, keep adding it consistently. Add a pinch of baking soda. Add cardamom powder for flavor(optional). Knead with hand after a certain consistency is obtained. This will allow the dough to mix properly. Keep adding the flour and knead until a very soft dough is formed. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Knead again. Divide it into 4 parts. Roll one of the parts and press it into a chapati. Don't make them too thin. Cut this chapati with a knife or pizza cutter. Shape the edges first. Cut vertically, then horizontally. You could cut them in the desired shape. Deep fry them. Heat oil sufficient for deep fry in a pan. After the oil is sufficiently heated, fry prepared dough one by one. Fry them on low flame till they become golden brown. Let them cool down and store in an airtight container.
