Manchurian is said to have been invented in 1975 by Nelson Wang, a cook in Mumbai, when a customer asked him to create a new dish, different from what was available on the menu. For this recipe, we will add our take to this unique recipe by adding our favourite ingredient - maggi and making the dish mggi manchurian. Easy and yummy manchurian with maggi. Try this maggi manchurian recipe for a tasty evening snack or as a side dish for lunch or dinner.

  • 3 cakes Maggi
  • Veggies Any veggies of choice
  • Onions
  • 1/4 cup Coriander Leaves
  • Green Chili
  • 1 tsp Schezwan Sauce
  • 1 tsp Chili Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Corn Flour
  • 2 tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Rice Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Slat
  • Oil as required
For Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Onions
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 1 1/2 tsp Garlic
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • 2 tsp Tomato Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Shezwan Sauce
  • 1 tsp Chili Sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp Soya Sauce
  • 2 tsp Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Corn Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup Coriander Leaves
  • Oil as required

Manchurian balls
  1. To begin, heat 2 cups of water in a pan and add 2 Maggi cakes.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of oil and the Maggi masala packets.
  3. Cook the Maggi and remove from heat.
  4. Place it on a plate to cool down.
  5. In a bowl, add diced capsicum, chopped carrots, diced onions, grated cabbage, 1/4 cup of coriander leaves, 1 chopped green chilli, 1 teaspoon of Schezwan sauce, 1 teaspoon of chilli sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Mix well.
  6. Then add 1/4 cup of corn flour, 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, and 1 tablespoon of rice flour.
  7. Mix thoroughly before adding the cooked Maggi.
  8. Be careful not to squeeze the Maggi too hard, or it will lose its texture. Knead the mixture into a dough, take a small amount, and roll it into a ball.
  9. In a plate, break a Maggi cake into small pieces.
  10. Roll the prepared ball onto the broken Maggi cake and press lightly.
  11. Deep fry the prepared balls on medium flame.
  12. Flip after a minute and fry until they turn brown.
Gravy or sauce for the Manchurian.
  1. Heat a pan and add 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil.
  2. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of chopped ginger and 1 teaspoon of chopped garlic.
  3. Fry until they turn brown and add 1/4 cup of diced onion.
  4. Then add 2 pieces of green chilli and keep cooking on high flame.
  5. Add 1 diced capsicum, 2 teaspoons of tomato sauce, 1 teaspoon of chilli sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of schezwan sauce, 1 1/2 teaspoons of soya sauce, 2 teaspoons of vinegar, and mix well.
  6. In a mixing bowl, add 1 tablespoon of corn flour, 1/2 cup of water, and mix.
  7. Next, add this corn flour slurry to the gravy.

  8. Add 1/2 cup of water and let the gravy thicken.

  9. Mix well and add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper powder.
  10. Let it cook for a couple of minutes until it thickens.
  11. Sprinkle coriander leaves and mix

Maggi manchurian
  1. Add the prepared Manchurian balls into the gravy.

  2. Mix and cook for a minute.
  3. Cut off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves or spring onions.
Your Maggi Manchurian is now ready to serve. Enjoy your meal!
