How to make Banana Barfi at Home
  • 3 Bananas
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • Chopped Dry Fruits

Cut bananas into pieces and mash them. Take a pan with a thick base. Heat 2 cups milk in it. Let the milk boil. Keep stirring in between while boiling. Boil for 5-10 minutes. Add mashed bananas and mix. Cook on medium flame. Keep stirring in between. As the mixture starts to thicken, add 1/2 cup coconut powder and mix. After a minute, add 1/2 cup sugar and mix. Sugar could be added according to desired sweetness. For flavour, add 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder and mix. After the mixture thickens, add some of the chopped dry fruits and mix. Rest of the dry fruits could be used for garnishing. Cut off the stove. Spread clarified butter (ghee) on a tray. Put the prepared banana burfi in the tray and spread evenly. Garnish with rest of the dry fruit pieces. Put the tray in the fridge for 2 hours. Cut the burfi into desired shape.
